Reduces greenhouse gas emissions
No need for manual supervision
Separates up to 8,000 liters of oil per hour
It is crucial for an oil port’s environment that any oil spill is removed from the water efficiently. Both storm water and oil leakages may cause a serious wastewater problem because it contains a lot of hydrocarbons if not treated properly.
To reduce the detrimental impacts of storm water and spills, oil ports, depots and terminals use Surfcleaner SCO 8000 Skimmer Separator Hybrids to remove, separate and recover hydrocarbons in API separators and storm water basins. The smaller, versatile SCO 1000 can be easily set to action wherever it’s needed and can be remotely controlled by a smartphone or tablet app.
CUSTOMER REFERENCE
“Surfcleaner collects and separates oil layers from 0.1 μm and upwards, continuously keeping the water surface completely free from oil and bacterial growth. This does not give the organisms time to start growing and the problem of dead bacteria suspended in the water does not arise.
Continuous separation increases the capacity of the gravimetric separation process and avoids the risk of bacterial growth. Previously, when a large volume of oily water was released, the bandskimmer we had was not able to handle it, nor could it meet the stipulated cleaning requirements. Another factor is that when the amount of water in the oil is reduced using Surfcleaner, our cost for the disposal of the oil is lower.”
