GOING UNDERGROUND

Underground oil caverns are facilities where oil is stored until it is ready to be transported to a refinery or to market. A huge quantity of water is used for construction, maintenance and safety purposes. This water, along with the surrounding rock, is being constantly contaminated with oil-derived pollutants.

SCO 8000 and SCO 1000 are used to collect and recover floating hydrocarbons in oil caverns. Both units operate continuously, with low energy consumption. The recovered oil can go back to the storage or be reused.
