Managing oil-contaminated water in mining operations is necessary for regulatory compliance, environmental responsibility, and worker safety. However, conventional processes for treating oily wastewater are very costly and inefficient. Surfcleaner’s patented industrial oil-water separator substantially improves oily water management for mine operators – resulting in increased operating efficiency, reduced water treatment costs, and a smaller impact on the environment.

Surfcleaner’s surface separator removes nearly 100% of diesel and oil from the water’s surface. With one efficient system, hydrocarbons are collected, separated from water, and discharged with <5% water content – making it an ideal solution for mining wastewater treatment.

The Surfcleaner system replaces complicated, bulky systems made up of industrial oil skimmers, suction pumps, vacuum trucks, filters, chemicals, absorbents, and power packs with one compact, high-efficiency unit that continuously and automatically removes oil from water using very little power.

Surfcleaner surface separators operate without manual intervention, either underground or at the surface. They use very little power and require low maintenance.
