Ideal for removal of thin sheens of pollution
Continuous and automatic process
Helps secure quality consistency
Municipalities strive to provide their residents with safe drinking water, especially in the areas where no natural water sources are available and wastewater needs to be purified to be suitable for consumption.
SurfCleaner SCO 1000 models are used to remove floating pollutants from the water surface in water towers and reservoirs. Their continuous operation is essential, because it prevents scum from building up, thus decreasing filamentous bacteria and decaying organic compounds in the water. SurfCleaner SCW 6000 is a unique system for removal, separation, and recovery of sludge on water surfaces.
Efficient removal of surface pollution reduces safety risks for the further processes towards clean drinking water.
CUSTOMER REFERENCE
Currently, sludge is managed through manual flushing or being pumped away by vacuum trucks. This requires a considerable amount of water, which can result in the loss of the energy potential of the sludge. If the sludge can be collected without water, the water treatment plant can instead convert it to bioenergy and take advantage of phosphorus and minimize operation stoppages, operation costs, energy and chemical use.
SurfCleaner has a patented technology that collects and separates the sludge in an energy-efficient way – this will enable a significant increase in bioenergy from municipal waste streams. This technology will now be validated as a complete system that can be integrated into existing wastewater treatment plants around the world.
